Day 4 - Calexico, CA to Yuma, AZ

Today we rode across some of the worst roads in America.  The first was the center of the world road, and the second one I can’t remember the name of the second one.  By then I was too tired.  We also rode on a stretch of I-8 that gave new meaning to bumpy roads. To add insult to injury, we had a NNW wind coming into to town that kept blowing sand in our faces.

We did see a few tourist attractions along the way, including Imperial Sand Dunes, the Center of the World, and the Yuma Territorial State Prison.

We didn’t see a sign welcoming us to Arizona as we walked across a one lane bridge.  We also changed to Mountain Standard Time and I am running out of time to post today as lights out is in 15 minutes.    We did have an park interpreter give us an interesting history of Yuma tonight.
