Day 43 - Rest Day at Dauphin Island, AL

Today is a rest day at Dauphin Island, AL.  As I mentioned last night, we moved from the campground to an indoor Baptist Ministry.  The winds are picking up and the locals on the island are talking about weathering this storm.  I stopped at the post office to mail a small package to Charlotte and the storm was the talk of the office.  I decided against some of the tourist attractions, such as the Estuarium at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab or Fort Gaines, to enjoy a true day of rest before our last nine days of riding.  The ladies have some card games and Mexican Train Game (dominoes) planned for this afternoon.

Lucky for the group that one of the support staff, Beth, is the most kind natured person you have ever met.  She was able to convince the church that "what better ministry is there than to keep a group of people safe?"  Beth is the best!
