Last night was probably the coldest night we had. Someone checked their Garmin first thing this morning and it indicated 37F. It warmed up before we started pedaling. The start of the ride was relatively easy as we were on a bike trail and the wind was not yet in our face, but around 12 miles into the ride, the wind became a headwind and slowed the pace dramatically. The bike trail was a treat to ride on; not having traffic to deal with it made the day so much more enjoyable (except for the wind). It was a shorter day today, but tomorrow gets longer again.
I continue to have gear jumping problems. Today I had three mechanics working on my bike. If it continues, we may just have to change that cable.
I also got into a hot tub at the park for a short time. It was bliss…I almost fell asleep.
