Day 6 -Dateland to Gila Bend

Lucky for us, today was a relatively short day – and I needed it. I am officially tired.  We spent quite a few miles on I-8 and didn’t see too many photo opportunities today. We had at least a five-person pace line, then seven, and up to eight at one point.  It was a great group!

We stopped for lunch in Gila Bend at Sophia’s – it was highly recommended by Bubba and it met all expectations.  I split a “Mexican quesadilla with Semone.  He has begun to call Janet and I his moms.  Not the we are older than him!  But he tells me that I keep “yelling at him.”  We really aren’t yelling and any hints at riding technique are all with good intention.  We are having a great time.  Semone also got us back on track when I wanted to find the local post office.

We got into Gila Bend relatively early.  Janet ran her normal 5K after riding all day, and then she headed for the pool.  Me…I got myself a beer.
