Day 47 - DeFuniak Springs to Marianna, FL

The staff of the Sunset King RV Resort served us breakfast this morning; they had a great selection of food: pancakes, eggs, French toast sticks, bacon, sausage, biscuits/gravy, grits and strawberry shortcake.  It was a pleasant change from our normal oatmeal and bagels.  Although, Anne has a “big” breakfast for us on our off days as well. We started today’s ride going through the historic section of DeFuniak Springs.  There were beautiful, majestic homes along the way.  In addition, we biked past the oldest Library in Florida that is located on the banks of the DeFuniak Spring.   The day warmed up quite a bit and you knew you were in Florida.  We had lunch at Baileys Surf and Turf.  The restaurant was full with their local customers.  They served a lunch buffet and many of the riders opted for that; I chose to order a whitefish sandwich and it was delicious.  Just before we ended at the Arrowhead Camp Resort campground, we stopped for frozen yogurt at Milk & Honey.  It was a refreshing treat on a hot, Florida day.
