Day 46 - Milton to DeFuniak Springs, FL

The ride started out chilly, but quickly warmed up. The road was very good and it just doesn’t seem like this is the same US 90 that we suffered on while biking through Texas.  What a difference about 500 miles out of Texas can make. We stopped at Simply Good Country BBQ for lunch and it was another bargain that tasted delicious. I had BBQ pork with fried okra – yummy! Our overnight destination is the Sunset King RV Resort. The park is scenic with a small lake. It also has a pool and hot tub; I took advantage of the hot tub and it felt wonderful.  The park staff are supplying dinner tonight and I was able to get a sneak peak at the desserts – ten homemade pies!

Anyone that would happen to be in or near St. Augustine next Monday at about 1:30 pm, we will be going to dip our wheels into the Atlantic Ocean across from the Beach Best Western on A1A. Our group will eat lunch together prior to arriving for the wheel dipping.  It is getting very close – only about 400 miles to go!
