Arriving in San Diego

We arrived in San Diego about noon. After dropping off our luggage, we headed to Bernie's Bike Shop that reassembled our bikes for us.  A tiny little spot jammed tight with recently assembled bikes.  I couldn't get my Garmin Radar back onto the seat post, and that resulted in call # 1 to my friend Owen who quickly informed me that my seat was not put back on at the right height.  A few adjustments with an allen wrench, and success. To test everything out, we went for a short, easy six mile ride along a paved path.  It's down to 56 degrees as I type this and I have a feeling it will be a cool start on Saturday morning.  Tomorrow is a day of rider meetings.

Just arrived at the hotel and stopped for a photo op.

Liquid refreshments before the massive hamburgers and "frings" arrived.  Frings, a new word that describes a combination of French fries and onion rings.  The serving size was too much for four of us to finish.  My nephew Brian and his wife Kate flew down from Oakland to visit and send us off on Saturday morning.
